The Black 5 steam engines were built in the early to mid 20th century. Working as both freight and passenger trains. This wooden Black 5 Steam Engine is a replica of a model which was retired in 1965. It was purchased, restored, and ran again in 2010. Another replica from the Bigjigs Rail Heritage Collection. The original is kept by The Mid Hans Railway Preservation Society, at the Watercress Line. Magnetic couplings allow it to pull other carriages or wagons from the BigJigs range.
